The tripods are modeled through the middle of the elements, thus creating a lined model which is placed in Karamba to determine the deformation of the model and where the greatest shear force is. By looking at the tension and compression one is able to see the weakest points which tend to be the middle rod. It is foreseen that the pavilion tends to deform towards the longer arm of the tripod as there is a greater distance to the ground the weight is directly proportional thus being greater as well. A fragment of the model is later modeled in surfaces that connect at the joints to receive more accurate results.
